The Winter Olympics and Paralympics, commonly known as Milano Cortina 2026, will be held in Milan and Cortina, Italy, in February and March 2026. The user's provided date range of February 5–23, 2026, slightly differs from the official Olympic dates, which run from February 6–22. The Paralympic Games will take place afterward, from March 6–15.
2026 Winter Olympics
Dates: February 6–22, 2026.
Opening Ceremony: February 6, at the San Siro Olympic Stadium in Milan.
Closing Ceremony: February 22, at the Verona Arena.
Main Venues:
Milan: Ice sports, including ice hockey, figure skating, and speed skating.
Cortina d'Ampezzo: Snow and sliding events, including bobsleigh, luge, skeleton, and women's alpine skiing.
Other locations: Venues across northern Italy will host other events, such as skiing in Bormio and Livigno, and biathlon in Anterselva.
New Sport: Ski mountaineering will make its debut at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
2026 Winter Paralympics
Dates: March 6–15, 2026.
Events: Six different sports are scheduled.
Ceremonies:
Opening: March 6, at the Verona Arena.
Closing: March 15, at the Cortina d'Ampezzo Olympic Stadium.
